Android users – the time has finally come: today we released the much-anticipated version 2.0 for you guys. You’ll now be able to take advantage of the more than 5,000 cool driving groups your iPhone compadres have already set up – and even create some of your own, if so inclined. We’ve worked very hard to get this version ready for you and we hope you enjoy it, so make sure to update in the Android Market as soon as you can.

In addition to being able to participate in driving groups, you’ll also notice some very considerable performance and stability improvements, including enhancements such as multi-touch support, zoom and rotations.

The 2010 Mashable Awards are now accepting nominations and we were wondering if you wouldn’t mind taking a quick moment  out of your day to nominate us for ‘Best Location Based Service‘? Nomination submissions are being accepted until November 29 and if you’re feeling super passionate about our little app, you can go ahead and nominate us once per day, every day, til November 29th – but no pressure!
