I just downloaded it and absolutely LOVE the update. I’ve always been a fan of the app, but definitely felt like the interface was a bit dated. This new version throws that out the window and truly shows how beautiful an app can be!
I can’t wait to take this out on the road. Thanks, Waze!
Even though iOS has a smaller market share than Android, you got the iOS version out first? That’s a bit disappointing.
@telecon Simpler development process. Android has a million different devices that need to be supported.

There may be many dozens of android devices not millions and they all run android os I can’t imagine why one Android waze 3.0 app can’t run out of the box at least on the majority of android phones since 2010. Coming months? So us android users might get 3.0 when ios gets 4.0. Speaking of ios there Is more than one iPhone so how does one ios waze version run them all yet android Is being peddled as hard to optimize. Over .200 000 android apps beg to differ.

Congratulations. I have just tried it and it is a great update! Keep on working on this project. It is just awesome. Cheers from Mexico!
I think v3 is ace! I would like to see how strong the gps signal is again and the little Internet icon. These were pretty helpful in the old version I think. Also it still doesn’t seem to be learning my routes?? Maybe I’m doing something wrong but I’ve been driving the same way for a
Couple of weeks and it’s told me the wrong way every day and hasn’t updated to the right way yet. Other than that I think it’s great. Much faster and smoother than before. I am certainly NOT disappointed that you guys released it on iPhone first! =) Android is to buggy anyway! =P

Android version is on its way folks – sit tight!
Just started using this, love it!
I have been using your application for just a few days and I am really impressed: Congratulations! It’s “almost” the perfect GPS tool that can fit for every body.
The best is that it is permanently updated by the users.
I found some small areas where they could be some improvement:
- On the Map, the informations like speed-ETA-distance to destination, etc, should be placed behind the vehicule, and not at the bottom of the display. At least this choice should be possible. Indeed whith small display like an iphone, if you choose to have the north on top of the display, you can easily drive towards the frame where these informations are displayed, and you cannot see what is in front of you,
- I would appreciate to have the scale of the map displayed. When the scale changes automatically (with the distance or the speed), it would be helpful to have an idea about the scale of the map in order to estimate the distance between you and the place where something have been signaled by another wazer
- when I inform the community about something, it is generally after the place where I actually show the thins (accident, police, work on road, etc). To be more accurate, I would appreciate to be able to say that this was 100m or 200m before my actual position.
These are some minor improvement that could be useful.
Thanks for your application, I cannot drive without using it now.
Thanks for all that feedback! We’re glad to have you on board…
I used it for the first time today on my IPhone4….on the Apple App site it describes an “audible” turn-by-turn….I don’t hear anything???? HELP!!
How about Blackberry? Not even plan for doing V3 for it?
Motorola flagship Android handsets need THREE, too!
Perhaps with logic to set sdcard back to R/W as needed,
And after implementing a feature to report police/highway patrol in motion (with trailing/leading modifiers) anonymously when they are traveling above posted limits.
Thumbs up for Waze 3.0 for Android!!
I download the app and I am very happy with the performance.
I can not find in the menu how to save my personal routes and waze always show me the same mistakes. How can prepare the apps to save the routes?
Probably somebody knows how to do it.
Thanks a lot.
Hello, i can’t find the link to download waze v3. 0 for Android. The installation from the market place is a v2. Can you help me?
