Here are the top 11 players (for this final round) for each country. You all gave an amazing fight for your country!!!. As promised after last game, in response to requests received by many of you after previous contests, we changed the overall mechanics of winning the competition, to a raffle system, whereby each participant in the overall winning country had a chance of winning that was proportional to the number of road goodies they ate throughout the entire competition. So the winners are not necessarily listed in the below, very impressive group of players!
But Wait….
Since the contest was soooo tight; we decided to add A FOURTH WINNER – One to be raffled from USA, FRANCE or ITALY. The user will be picked using the same raffle logic.
Winners are notified by email. We’ll announce names as soon as we hear back from them.
As always, we want your feedback on how to make the game better, or any ideas for future games. Stay tuned.

If PeterG doesn’t win…he should be given one for his hard work. I think I only ended up with about 75-ish. Is there a way we can find out how many soccer balls we got?

670? I hate to be negative.. but seriously? I don’t even think I SAW 1/4 of that on the map, much less was able to actually munch.
Wow. Peter got more than the second and third place individuals combined. I can’t see how that’s even possible.
Guys we made several tech checkups before releasing the results. This is hard well earned work!

Like everyone else, I’d like to find out how many I got. It would be nice to see the number of items we have collected on our Dashboard/Status screen. It would give us more incentive to go out and find items/munch. IMHO
Long list, not sure how to publish. maybe anyone above x points. Will check tomorrow and hopefully will publish a list for you to check how well you did.
Congratulations to all participants; all of them have improved the maps regardless of the number of soccer balls they were able to achieve. And of course congratulations to the yet unknown winners of the ipads. I surely hope they will – sometimes – use them for waze as well

Even if I had driven 24/7 across my country (Italy), I couldn’t be able to munch 670 balls.

PeterG got over 83 soccer balls a day. That seems pretty impossible. It took me 6 hours to get 42 balls one day. On the average that would take him 12 hours of driving per day to reach 670. Were all these stats coming in from the same smartphone? Would it be possible for multiple phones to be logged into the same account to “pool” points?
I can’t belive Israel didn’t make it, with a million users and everything.
It could be because the balls were in the middle of forests, or beyond highway barriers.

Next time you do one of these, how ’bout putting balls on streets that still need to be driven? Many of these balls were put in the same regularly-traveled places week after week, just creating repetitive driving, with loads of untravelled roads in between them.
I don’t really see using this app long term unless you greatly improve its ability to learn. Continuing to route people down roads that don’t exist with no apparent logic built-in (i.e. a pop-up that says, “we see you’ve turned around here, like 45 people before you. Is this really a dead end?”) is just ludicrous. No, we’re supposed to remember the dozens of major errors and then go home to update the map. I don’t ever see that working here. Best of luck, though!

Gavi, goodies in places that couldn’t be reached + goodies that couldn’t be munched was equally experienced by all players in all countries…
@Lopaolo69, tried that ones: Using the my account on two clients(mine and my girlfriends)
But as soon as we were using waze simultaneously, one of the clients would crash.
@Lopaolo69 – I was thinking along the lines of a truck or delivery company also. It would be easy to throw it on a different vehicle on a different route every day, but then again, it all helps Waze, he went thru some effort to do it, and I don’t think that would be against the rules.
Strange, so many people thinking about the number of soccer balls. There is no secret and I have myself been rather astonished about the number being about twice as much as I got in the earlier stages of the contest. But having driven a lot again (being #1 at most miles driven and #2 overall) this doesn’t seem that unbelievable. And if timmyjoe42 thinks driving 12 hours seems pretty impossible he obviously has little experience and imagination what is possible and really happening. There are times when I am on the road far more than 12 hours. Of course I am not driving the whole time and sometimes I am not driving myself at all. Wazing doesn’t require driving yourself… different passengers may be driving but me wazing keeps on…
@Carl Black – “we’re supposed to remember the dozens of major errors and then go home to update the map.” – You don’t have to remember all the map problems you see, just use the ‘report’ button on your phone to report an error and it will put a marker on the map. Then when you get home all the markers will be there waiting for you to fix.
Most of the balls werent on major roads, but rather on small secondary streets. So to get all the balls of an area, you needed to deviate often from your road, which is very time consuming. That’s why so many people are wondering how you got that number of balls, PeterG.
@PeterG. OK, driving 12 hours in a day is not impossible, but driving 12 hours a day for 8 days is insane. I agree that “driving” can also mean riding in a vehicle that is being driven.
I hope you hadn’t drive so many hours in my country… there are already too many crazy drivers here
