I'm up to a record 6 replies in 2 days, out of about 80 requests.

Other than a few tweaks that's all I do though I think I need to adjust them as I think folk are hitting reply rather than forwarding to my account!

Groan... I hadn't even considered that, that would explain why the response rates are so incredibly low as anyone who could be bothered enough to report a problem from their car is not likely to be unresponsive.

I've had the "forward this email" request in my responses for several months. Response is better than it was last year. Not sure if that's the reason though.

I have even made the same "reply-to and not forward" mistake myself when other editors have responded to my URs, thus the hope that the "new"? system will use the responding editor's email as reply-to!

Other than for notifications I don't think the new system will use emails at all.

I just expanded my AM area, and there are a lot of really old URs. They may have been solved by another AM, either on purpose, or just in the process of cleaning up, but were never closed. Or it might've just been the Wazer's imagination. Or I might see it and fix it.

The point is, it's now been a year since this user left a UR. It might've caused a serious problem on his daily route, and he/she has since gotten disgusted and deleted Waze.

I don't want to just delete the UR, as that won't generate any response. If the user still has that e-mail address, maybe a properly designed stock response could get them to give Waze another shot.

I can't imagine how to go about writing something like that. Any ideas?

I made one saying pretty much you just said

"I see that this report is rather old, but I just started working this area. I'm unsure what issue you were experiencing. If you are still interested in having it corrected you can contact me by forwarding this...etc."

Or something like that...I think I like that better than what I have actually.
