Type: General error
Description: driving sideways
Followed by (a few miles up the road)
Type: General error
Description: driving backwards.
And then
Type: General error
Description: vehicle turned sideways
Not sure how (s)he expects Waze to help with this.

Well, the application doesn't make any distinction that non waze developers/employees are getting these reports. So, unfortunately until they make that distinction, we get application error reports. (which I've seen this behavior, in the 3.0 beta)

Check road direction / segments. I have seen this behavior myself with going down a road that was set as one way and going down the "wrong way" If direction is set and segment isn't restricted check update time, could be not pushed to live map yet.

By switching the display from portrait to landscape?

This happens when your GPS is way off to the side so Waze orients your car arrow sideways or at other odd angles I've seen it many times. Usually, the display is also a bit stuttered while this is happening.

"this is more of an error by another user. I reported hidden police presence, and nearly immediately after I reported it, it was marked as not there. since it happened so quickly, I would not be surprised if the police department has someone watching waze to see when police presence is reported, and then marks them as not there to delete them off the map. I hope you guys are developing a way to detect if an abuser is not near the area but reports map issues as not there."

"Not there"? What version of the client makes that possible? NOT the current iPhone-version.

I thought that it should be confirmed by more wazers before it disappears? Are there more policemen sitting behind waze client running and marking those warnings?

It could even be the officer himself doing it. It's not like they don't know the program exists.
