I don't mind, it's just a fact.

It's easily reachable... I've only been here about 8 months and am less than 20,000 edits away from 200,000... I'll get there sometime soon...

Honestly I have no idea how you have done it. I've been doing this for about 4 months now (half as long as you) and I'm barely over 33k and have touched just about every road/segment primary and higher in this county. I've got a couple of little projects like fixing all the exit ramp names for the parkways but I'm running out of major things to take care of in my AM space.

Most of it has been going town by town around the state of CT and properly typing roads... When I do that, I go segment by segment and check directionality, connectivity, turn restrictions, delete unnecessary roads. As well as cleaning up URs & Problem reports as they come in (usually within 24 hours, 48 hours tops).

Some towns take 20 minutes to do, others can take 3 hours to do proper road typing on (like the one I just finished working on now).

I also drive a lot at work - office to a new location every day & back again averaging between 1500 & 2000 miles a month on top of my commute to & from work. I also work very early (3am), so I get to report overnight construction zones that no one else has. Because I go in early, I get out early, so I'm editing by noon every day. Having the best & most updated map benefits me directly at work, so I'm invested in spending a lot of time editing. And what am I going to do in the afternoon when all my friends are still at work (beside making fun of them)?

I've the entire Oregon ToDo page in the wiki which still needs completing and it's something I work on daily. As I go through ensuring highways are correct, I run into many small towns. Some are so badly in need of work to make accurate, so I spend time fixing up the 20-30 streets (80-200 segments) and all associated junctions. You can rack up 200-500 edits in well under an hour.

I did tons of edits on the old editor by selecting lots of items and editing things that needed fixed in bulk. Looks like that hurt me on points looking now how they were scored. Not sure how that counted edits, but I think it was also grouped, which hurt me.

Now there's an editor in my area who has 100k edits and keeps going behind and breaking my fixes thinking they aren't correct and then locking the roads. I talked to him about it and I think it probably won't happen in the future, but unfortunately most of the roads in the area are locked. This means I have to constantly PM him for permission to unlock stuff or go into Cartouche, which seems even slower than WME to unlock stuff. Its a huge hassle. Essentially a higher level user can lock everyone below them out of editing. I realize we have to protect the map, but it can also be used to block others from doing proper fixes. At this point even though I'm area manager in an area, and I live down the street I can't fix most of the roads. Its almost driven me away from editing.

The N.A editor will be down tomorrow due to servers upgrades related to the new infrastructure of the N.A server (more info here).

The downtime is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, September 4, between 01:00AM and 09:00AM EDT (GMT -4).

We apologize for the temporary incovenience.

thanks.

I'm assuming this is the switch from the old infrastructure to the new one? Hopefully this will make using the editor tolerable again.

Don't know if the update started yet (according to the timeline it shouldn't have) but I've lost the ability to log into the editor. :?

I hit a LOT of the small West Texas towns that Wazers won't hit on a consistent basis and turn all of the roads from the UNKNOWN to at least TWO WAY roads. If I miss a road that's supposed to be ONE WAY, oh well. It's one out of the 100 that need editing. Someone said it takes about 3 hours. I spend 3 hours a day on Lubbock, Texas and I'm STILL not done with it. There is a lot of work that needs to be done. The beautiful thing about Lubbock is that the roads are in a grid pattern: north/south and east/west, with the exception of the major highways that run through it. It took me a week to clean up San Antonio, but that was 8 hours a day for an entire weeks. School's now in session, so I have to write papers, study, and do school stuff which pulls me away from the editor.
Just wazeting my time to help you waze your route smoothly.

Me 3.

(that is like Me 2, only more. :) )
I was in the middle of fixing some stuff and strange things happened and I couldn't log in.

Looking forward to when this 'update' finishes.

EDIT: I can log in now and editing seems faster!
