Tried undo, one step additions, moving sections, skipping city/street names, remove and re-add road, ...

The error message is a general one.

Literally:
An error occurred while saving.
Please try again.

And the left side of the roundabout is brighter.

You have a loop that starts and ends on itself (only one segment connected to it). You'll have to delete the roundabout, extend the legs that connect with it into the circle, and then draw a new roundabout.

OK, that worked.
Thanks

IMHO I find it not natural. As I came to a certain point, make a roundabout and connect other roads to it.
Regardless of this remark I find waze a great system.

The best way to create a roundabout is to bring all the roads to a junction, as if there was no roundabout with the junction at the center of the roundabout. Then draw the roundabout, and any roads inside of the roundabout will disappear.

You can't create any kind of closed loop, which would be a loop or roundabout with only one segment attached to it. The beginning and end can't be in the same place. Waze used to allow this, and they were all over the place and it interfered with routing. As of the last WME update, it still allows it, but you can't break it open anymore. I don't know if this is a feature or a bug, but it really doesn't stop people from making closed loops, it just makes it difficult to fix them.

And this is the method which has been in use for Waze for years, and documented in the Editing Manual page specific to, and all about, roundabouts. You'll quickly learn to adapt because, well, it just works that way. It is also a natural progression in terms of roadworks for many areas as they mature and roundabouts are a good way to get control of and improve safety of specific intersections. With the Waze method, the intersection can quickly and easily "grow up" from a junction to a roundabout with just a couple of clicks! :)

I don't doubt. I understand that waze found a way that works. And I've tried it while skipping the RTFM method.
I reported this after trying a new road and came to the roundabout: first road, then roundabout and after this I've tried to connect a new section...

I agree totally. When converting from an old intersection this method is great and fast. I actually started with a converted intersection. And you know what I did? First tear appart the four sections and put a roundabout. And (as for now obvious reasons) didn't worked. Then I tried to do a new one. Failed again.
After your response I also went to read the manual... and all showed up in a new light. ;)

The bottomline is: Read the manual first!

Note that if you have an existing roundabout with two segments connected to it, you can then add a third (or fourth, etc) without having all these problems.

The problem only occurs when you have a roundabout with only one junction in it. It might as well be a "division by zero" error. Can't do anything with it except delete and start over.
