Highlighted soft-turn, U-turn errors

Dunno if it's something in the highlighter add-on script or built into the new editor, but I notice that scattered nodes are highlighted in color, with the following notations:

Warning: node has 1 soft turns.
Warning: node has 2 reverse connections.

Hovering over them instructs how to correct these. But what effect do these things have? I know what a soft turn is, but what's a reverse connection? Does it affect navigation in some way?

Yes, it's a feature of the Color Highlights Script.

When the script finds a potential issue with a selected node or segment, it displays the text "For a full explanation, see this page" (awaiting a Wiki page on the subject).

Most of the time, these warnings will have little or no effect on routing. However, where there is some odd routing by Waze, it's worth checking and fixing the nodes in the vicinity.
