It's a bit of a sore point for me, actually. The
original section included wording borrowed from
one of my posts on the subject in an earlier thread, saying that we should "err on the side of caution" and restrict a turn, rather than give drivers illegal directions, especially during periods of heavy traffic.
Then the
wording was reversed without discussion, and it remained like that for a couple months, until the thread was
re-opened to object to the change. The discussion then picked up in
the thread that I cited a few posts ago, where we reached a consensus to change it back to its original wording--which I did.
