I've been finding and cleaning up rogue paves, especially looking for them in not obvious places, such as over water and vacant areas.
I encountered this one tonight though:
https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=4&lat=37.6106&lon=-122.26541&layers=BFTFFTTTFTTFTTTTTTTTTFT&segments=63962136Claims it was created by aviaron.int(staff) on January 17, 2012.
It's not the first I've found floating in SF Bay, but it's the first that I've found that supposedly was created by Waze.
Hayward, CA, Reno/Sparks, NV, Elko/Spring Creek, NV and apparently the N. NV section of Portola Valley, CA.

Face it:
everyone wants to "pave" at least once while they're on a plane.

Hopefully was some kind of test. It's gone now. Did it line up with an airport?

It looked to me like they were using a "street" to create an arrow - pointing to something on-shore.

Nope. It wasnt lined up to any airport. I wonder who deleted it? Since it's been around for a year without anyone noticing it must have been someone who saw this post.
