To all of the new editors and those editors that are just trying to increase their point levels!!!
Please do not detail every single lane throughout every parking lot you come across. It is fine to add a short section of "parking lot road" at Entrances and Exits especially if the Entrance/Exit is a one way or a divided road to or from a one way, but you do not need to detail out every single pathway through the entire parking lot. This is wasteful and useless. Remember, the more detail shown, the more data that is downloaded to a users mobile device. And for many people data = $$$! The increased amount of data also slows down the updating or refreshing of the user's device.
There are plenty of other issues that need to be addressed that will keep you very busy if you just look for it. Zoom in close and pan through residential areas and look for roads that were never designated as two way streets when they were drawn in. As you fix those, then you can fix the intersections the road connects with to make sure that all the correct turns are allowed. And there are plenty of roads left unnamed.
If that doesn't keep you busy enough, branch out and adopt a smaller city near you that doesn't get a lot of attention. Become the Area Manager and clean up the road and turn designations, make sure the roads geometry is drawn correctly, complete the road naming, etc. There really is plenty that you can do to increase your point levels and still be very helpful to all of the wazers on the road without detailing out every parking lot on the map!
Thanks!
