Really what can I say? I just gave them my canned response and assumed that they probably weren't using waze any longer. :P

Well, I found an older one, but if one calculates the actual date the update request below was submitted, it was still 6 days after the one the OP submitted. :)

Just completed all the updates in my area. Oldest was 566 days. The issue had already been taken care of.

Log onto Cartouche. In the View Panel, click on the "Update Requests" link.

LOL... I think I can report the youngest resolved request...

I worked on my request list and found only 1 new one today. After I finished the UR, I refreshed the list to make sure I closed it, and a new one popped up with a clear description. I was able to solve and close it within 10 minutes from posting ;-).
Normally a HTC Desire S - Stock ROM (Android 2.3.5), but temporarily back to my G1 (HTC Heart) - Froyo by Laszlo ROM - Waze 3.6

Lucky you. Update Requests have been getting entered rapidly and in higher quantities the last couple of weeks.

I have seen an increase as well, that's why I wrote 'only' 1 new.

I just started editing maps and updating requests. I just made a general rule for myself that anything over 200 days can be closed with the canned response "If this is still an error please re-report". So far none that I know of have been re-reported. I think either the user is no longer using Waze or the issue was fixed but never closed.

If Waze Update Requests took a more Help Desk like approach to the broken parts of the map I think there would be alot quicker turn around time on the fixes. Yesterday I went through and updated maybe 150(?) URs in about 2 hours. 90% were old and no longer valid and closable.

Here's the real problem. I get someone who sends me an update request, but with no comments. General map error and wrong driving directions are the most selected. However, any problems submitted within the past month are dubious at best because waze has not updated the maps for the apps. When I look at the reported area, I see no errors, and I know I've worked on the area in the past month.

What do I respond? I just have to close it and ask for the user's patience until waze updates the maps online.
