St Johns rundabout

Hi all

Just wanting to get a bit of discussion on the St Johns Roundabout - https://world.waze.com/editor/?zoom=7&l ... TTTTTTTTFT

There have been a couple of side roads added on the sides of the roundabout and I'm not sure that this is the best configuration. All other maps just show the roundabout (Google, Bing, etc)and adding these other branches may be more confusing for drivers. Strictly speaking it is still a roundabout and traffic in all directions must observe the roundabout rules. The way the map is currently, suggests that those turning left from St Johns Rd (into St Johns Rd) or from College Road do not need to follow the same rules.

Before deleting them and going back to a normal roundabout I just wanted to see what others think and if we have a consensus on the best configuration.

I look forward to your thoughts.

Cheers
Paul

I would say mapping it as a normal roundabout is closest to the real world road situation concerning signs, directions and priority rules. The only benefit of the current map configuration is to show the user the two different lanes to choose from depending on the direction over the roundabout. However, I think this will be clear enough when one drives on the roundabout, it's not so big that users could get confused easily. So in my opinion, the current map does not add much and making it simpler would be the better option.

I drove through the roundabout yesterday and the driving directions could definitely be confusing.
I'll update the map back to a roundabout.
