Data allowance usage when using abroad

Postby goodyearmark » Tue Aug 07, 2012 9:54 am

I live in the UK.
I will be travelling through France and Italy over a period of 5 days. My service provider (T-Mobile) will supply a data allowance of 50Mb for this period. Can anyone give me an estimate of data usage assuming approx 6Hrs of driving per day. I am using iPhone 4s and the latest version of Waze
Many thanks

I think you will be fine when you are using 2D mode and data compression.
Normally a HTC Desire S - Stock ROM (Android 2.3.5), but temporarily back to my G1 (HTC Heart) - Froyo by Laszlo ROM - Waze 3.6

You may also want to set autozoom to by distance rather than by speed. This minimizes the map zooming in (more data consumed) every time you slow down.
