I'm a area manager of most of Centurion and parts of southern Pretoria (use the layer to find the exact area)

Feel free to post any questions / issues that I'm missing here (Using the report function from your phone is preferred, but that only works when you are at the problem and its hard without a passenger to do in a useful way)

Let me know below if you fixed something and I need to update the status.

Please mention suburbs / roads / offramps that I'm forgetting...

Doesn't Pierre van Ryneveld also fall under Centurion? I'm moving there in a few months time, so I'll apply for Area Manager there.

I've started most of the work in the Pierre van Ryneveld area, and some in the Highveld area as well.

I'll start making sure that Nellmapius is also sorted for the most part.

Hi there,

I am trying to fix the map problem at the following location

https://world.waze.com/cartouche/?zoom= ... TTTTTTTTTT

However due to the road being locked I have no permission to resolve the issue.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

The locking only prevents Waze from moving roads around / messing up road directions based on drives....

You should be able to edit it if you drove there (and the really slow servers got around to updating your permissions based on the drives...)

You can also apply to be area manager of the area...

The drives that that error is based on seem to be based on some (illegal?) u-turns, but a connection between the two lanes might be needed... (it might be in the closed part due to the sinkhole, I haven't checked... Changing the direction to no access should fix routing then....)

This info is about 6 months old. This is no longer the purpose of locking. Locking a segment prevents a lower ranked user editing regardless of whether they have driven there or not!
Being an Area Manager will override this!
