Greater JHB, that's seriously ambitious. As far as I can see, your area ends at the Bolders shopping centre, thats about central Midrand. I asked for Glen Austin and surrounds, and got the whole of northern Midrand up to central Centurion, Kyalami and Kempton park.

Alandale

Postby Adventurer » Mon Jun 13, 2011 7:40 pm

Hi,

I just made an edit to the Alandale interchange to look the way the interchange is now. This interchange is under heavy construction, and so is still a work in progress, I will update the map as work progresses.

I'll be driving the various ramps in the interchange in the next few days to try get GPS traces of it. Unfortunately, the pictures don't distinguish between the old and new paths through this monster.

If anybody else that wants to help, it'll all be apreciated.

I note that the update that I made two weeks ago is still not on my mobile, so one wonders if Waze has got some sort of issue. Again.

As far as I can see, the update map is correct for the Alandale interchange. I've asked the user to bring the issue here, if needed.

Glen Austin

Postby Adventurer » Tue Oct 25, 2011 7:23 am

Guys,

I'm having to undo a lot of edits by alfonsb in Glen Austin. It was perfect until he decided that disconnected roads have to be joined etc. Glen Austin has a lot of roads that are blocked halfway along, and so the map roads were left disconnected for that reason.

Please don't edit named and locked roads unless you know that they are wrong.

Allandale has finally been re-opened so we can finish this one off.

Taken before the re-opening but you can still get the general picture (not mine, found via google image search source: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthrea ... 403&page=8)

Input and changes welcome. I only got a brief glimpse when I drove through

Hi guys

I haven't been through Allandale in a while. Can anyone comment? The livemap is updated to the 17th so if you're not seeing the changes then I suggest forcing a tile refresh (Settings->Data Usage->Refresh Map of my Area).

This stems from the update request in the area (missing road), but as you usual is lacking in any useful information ;)

It is actually easy to make "unwanted" bulldozed roads disappear with a bit of editing even if you don't have delete permissions, all you need to be able to do is to add & remove junctions...
