Update requests are only visible in Cartouche. I read the update requests in Cartouche and then use a bookmarklet to bring that area up in Papyrus and fix the problem, then go back to Cartouche to close out the request.

The little red teardrop things you see in Papyrus are Map Problems. Papyrus puts these in there when it detects GPS points that don't follow roads. A heavily used U-Turn that's missing from the map can make them come up. Also if you have a road set to one-way and there's a lot of traffic going against the one-way, a Map Problem will come up. As far as I know, you don't get any points for resolving these, other than the points you get for the map edit.

Thanks for the quick reply Jason, but I'm still having difficulty seeing update requests in Cartouche. What kind of markers are they? Is there a special way to find them?

From the layers panel in cartouche_old you can enable the "Update Requests" layer and you'll see them as red circles.

If you have an AM area you can hit "Update Requests" in the View panel to see a list of those in your area.

Found it, thanks! I didn't know you could go back to the old editor.

And remember the old editor is Cartouche and the new editor is Papyrus. Pay no heed to the URL. :)

Thanks Alan, I just figured out the difference between Papyrus and Cartouche.
