Interestingly it does not match the mentioned Waze wiki points system chart
I've found that I almost always have right around 400 points more than the math tells me I should. The 1.5 points per edit that the wiki shows is not set in stone...some types of edits may be worth more or fewer points. The exact point values haven't been made available to us. The points the wiki shows is just an average.
If I had available someone else's Dashboard table values for a period of a couple of consecutive days, I could elaborate for him/her. But this works for me (and the "discrepancy offset" is now around + 6-8 points, for weeks already):
factor, for:
1.6 Map Updates
6 Driving Alerts
40 New Recorded Kilometers
3.2 Existing Kilometers
1 Offline Existing Kilometers
3 Resolved Update Requests
2/3 Forum Posts
3 House Numbers
0.01 Waze Cookie Eater meters
(Note that the constants are for km/meter Dashboard version.)
After multiplying the Dashboard table with corresponding factors, I sum up the resulting points. Then I add the sum of my bonus candies (first 10 miles, first report, first week you drove n days, etc.) - it is now (and will probably remain) 2 430 points. Then the 750 points editing candies - now 31*750 = 23 250 points. The discrepancy is now 5.74 and varies around +-0.1 ... 1.4 daily.
The editing candies come seldom, I just notice that the discrepancy is suddenly by "n x 750" points higher and immediately know the number of applied editing candies.
