Are any of these suggestions going to be implemented? I've been around since this thread first started. There has been talk of revising the points system but has it happened yet? I would just like to see some changes already.

Maybe the changes have finally occurred, my points has dropped from 167k to roughly 115k over the weekend...

Yes - it is happening.
The first step was to correct 2 client related bugs - hence the 'excess' points that you had were removed and now we are in the process of recalculating the points with the new values and checking that they are indeed correct.

There is an incredible disparity in the points system on the first page. That driving a couple of kilometres in about 2 or 3 minutes is equal to 3 or 4 hours worth of editing is difficult to believe.

The suggestion to subtract points from people who are inactive is incredibly poorly thought out and sounds entirely ungrateful.

Can you please update the proposed points system, as page 1 is entirely unrepresentative of the apportionment in time and effort made. Most people would like to see a fair system....representative of time and effort.

This is not true, the one at the top of Top Wazer list still have more than 1 200 000 points.
Nobody in here are as stupid that they believe that's true.
When will you remove the excess points?

Or if you guys seriously think this is true, then we demand you tell us just how they have managed to get those points.

As I indicated - we are working on it. Both to correct it and make it fair. the 1,200,000 points is
obviously going to disappear in the process...

One more thing - we are starting from fixing the USA DB scoreboard (because it was the original DB before the split it is somewhat easier) so this is where first we will check this change.

I may be coming late to the party, so please forgive me if this is obvious to everyone else, but does this mean all the points we've lost over the last week or so are gone?

Look at it this way instead, they aren't so much gone as they were never there. What we are seeing now is what they should have been all along. Heck I was up around 200K and I knew it wasn't right. Kept going up exponentially each day no matter what I did. Least now I have an accurate assessment of my contributions.

That makes sense... I only had one day where my points when more than I expected - but I had just made a long drive into the country so I figured I ran over a prize and didn't realize it.

Thanks for the clarification.

It looks like more and more changes keep happening to the points to get us a more accurate view of where we stand. Fej could you update us as to when all of the changes should be finalized and the points we see are an accurate view of where we stand in the community?
