If you put your home address into the Waze editor search and it is near your actual house, then when the next map update happens (see the FAQ), it will work immediately. If your address pin location is incorrectly located, the FAQ has an answer for that too!

When I enter my address, or even a nearby intersection, I just get a pin in the downtown area. At least the town is right, Google usually picks the next one over. I can see my road and the nearby road name edits I have done in the map editor but not in the live map. For now I'll try using the coordinates.

I've added my shared driveway, which is a relatively new road and still not on Google maps, to the Waze map. How long before it becomes available when searching for a destination? Is it possible to put in the intersection of that road with the established road as a destination? It's a rural area and there really isn't much else around to act as a substitute destination for home.
