There are hundreds, maybe thousends examples. You can probably find out yourself in different sources...Waze won't give this information...

Waze staff has just explained me that the source for this problem is the way the system prioritizes the search results from Waze DB and the external search provider.
In this example, I get a result but it's not the correct one; since Waze finds some result, Waze does not search the Waze DB where the correct address is.
This has to be fixed: developers will see how they can optimize search mechanism in this aspect.

This is another reason that it's not good to add commercial POI's as Waze landmarks when the external search providers have good data. If I search for 'Walmart' when Wazing in San Diego I get a Waze search result for hundreds of miles away since someone has added a Walmart as a Waze landmark. Since Waze finds something as a Waze result it displays those results instead of the more relevant results from the external search providers that are much closer.

Waze should consider display the search results as one results list for all of the providers by distance. The providers logo can be integrated into the results. Then you could scan all of the providers results at once and choose the most relevant.

There should also be a better way to find results that are further away. Yes, you can add the city name in the search bar, but that doesn't always work as it should.

I have just received an update from Waze staff about this problem:

As for the problem - the main issue is the fact we are using an external source for resolving addresses. This is something we must do, since a lot of the house addresses are not known to us.
However, this causes exactly what you've described - cases where the address exists in Waze, but the search does not return it.
We are working on a new search mechanism that will solve this issue, however, it is a large effort and not an easy fix we can deploy. So I believe it will still take a couple of months until we fully deploy the new search mechanism. Hopefully, we will be able to start testing it soon and see that it indeed solves the problem you mentioned.
