Wrong address for parallel roads

Postby vtran81 » Sun Jun 17, 2012 11:24 pm

There are two roads, A and B, that are parallel to each other. When I tried to go to 1000 Road A, Waze pointed the address to be near Road B and thus the direction to this address is wrong (it showed to go to Road B instead). Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

The problem might be happening because you're searching for Road A. ;-)
Seriously though if you tell us where this is we can check it out. What provider were you using?

Google shows the correct place. I was using the Waze provider.

Check bing too. I usually find google at the door and bing out on the street.

Bing shows the wrong place as well (same as Waze).

If you want this fixed, you have to try to get Bing to fix it. Waze uses Bing data to resolve street addresses in the USA - even if they show up as Waze results. The integration is in the Waze back-end.

I have a similar issue. Bing Maps shows the address correctly. Google Maps shows it a bit off, but if it used that point I could be happy enough. The only difference between Bing Maps and the Waze map is a parking lot street that doesn't exist on the Waze map but does on the Bing map (the parking lot street also doesn't appear on the Google Map). I added the parking lot road to the waze map in hopes of getting better results.

The odd thing that I see is when I use the live map on the Waze website to get directions to this address, it seems to do it correctly no matter what direction I come in from. When I use the app on my android phone (Droid X) it always chooses the parallel street so the route is always wrong.

Any thoughts?
