I-495 DC routed onto exit ramp at MD Exit 39

I was told to exit onto 39 and then get back on the beltway while headed south towards VA from MD. There is an open issue there from someone else. At the time of my trip, there was some congestion that might have convinced waze to send me on the ramp (which I am happy about) but not sure if this should be OR would be the norm when there's no traffic.

How do we check this?

I would recommend that the city name be removed from the beltway. Its not like there are any addresses on the beltway and the city polygons should give the proper information in reports. If the city name did not change from Bethesda to Cabin John, I don't think you would have been given that route. I'll see if we can get a broader response in the Maryland sub-forum on this issue.
