I've been updating for Damansara Perdana area and KL Sentral area!

KL Sentral is quite ok but every helping hand is welcomed!

Thanks Stevo,

Andreas

Ya, most of the roads are there but a lot of buildings in the area not drawn or named. So I took the liberty to update that ;)

Thanks Stevo, adding landmarks is important for people as Malaysian are used to steer with landmarks a lot (in absence of an affordable GPS solution before Waze). Our map will also look more complete and natural buildings and forest eg.

Hi UsaydMR,

there is no area manager for Bangi, I'm the only one as Country Manager who has the rights there. So room for you to grow as map editor and eventually become AM there (sounds like having career, right?).

Joke aside, we welcome you to "Waze in Malaysia", if you happen to have a Facebook account please join our group to discuss topics around Waze in an easier form than this forum here. Click on the link below to find us:

https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/home.php?sk=group_158025900919763&ap=1

In this group you will also find some helpful documents on the right side, which highlight how to classify a road correctly in Malaysia or even more tips on Waze and editing in Waze! Our FAQ there will also tell you why you can't edit in Shah Alam yet.

Thanks,

Andreas

Hi Wazers,

Ryan here, stay at U5 Shah Alam, travel to most of the Industrial Area. This is my first post in Forum after 2 months of joining, loves everyone's effort here. Let's make the Most Favo GPS app.

Thanks.

I have been actively using it for past couple days and it has been very accurate I would say. I am impress with the progress of the map updates. Would like to contribute to the community. Do add me into your active groups.

It's impressively accurate GPS mapping on my iPhone 4S. But it does takes up a lot of battery power :(

Hi Alwin,

It's the screen brightness that is mainly eating your battery power and the settings of your iPhone for checking emails eg. Please google the terms "battery saving", "savings" and "iPhone" to find some of the tips given.

For long trips to Balik Kampung I'd advise a car charger for your iPhone, otherwise it should run fine even with Waze. To address brightness of screen, set it down to middle and automatic adjustment. You can set the screen of Waze to "night" setting which is inverting it and saves maximum battery.

Please join our FB group if you haven't done so, not much action here on this forum!

No, doesn't exist as they are subject to change (when they aren't active anymore, Waze HQ will kick them from being AM).

You can always check for an area yourself, go to the old editor Cartouche and select "Area Manager" from the menu to see which user is eventually AM in that area you're looking at.

If you want to take more ownership, join our FB group and help fix map errors
