Suggestion: set time or distance for alert popup

Hello,
For me, the alert popup is displayed to near of the alert point. I didn't find, in the settings, a parameter to set how long time before or how long (in meters) before the point, the alert is displayed. For instance, I want to have the popup alert 500 meters (or 20 secondes) before the point.

I believe pop ups are currently displayed for too long and take up too much screen space. Both should be reduced.
