Cant find Facebook Friends

I just loaded Waze on my wife's IPhone 4S (I have an Android) and we're not able to see each other. In Facebook, we're on each others Close Friends and Family lists. I have other Facebook friends in my "My Friends" list in Waze who are not even on my Close Friends or Family lists in Facebook. Further, I know of other Facebook friends of mine using Waze who I don't see. When I log into My Dashboard and try to connect to Facebook, the status always says "Not Connected".

Is anyone experiencing the same problems and have a workaround?

I have the exact same problem. Sometimes, after my wife and I are both on Waze for a while, we will be able to see each other. And no matter what I do, the Waze website always shows me as "Not Connected".
