And, yep, I am annoyed this morning that people keep asking the question because they won't bother searching for the answer first.

Perhaps we should create some Pop-Ups to inform people about Pop-Ups.

Waze pops up statuses that don't affect my route whenever I slow down or come to a stop. Stuff like a car on the shoulder of a road I'm not on, or heavy traffic going in the other direction. I couldn't find a setting to turn them off, but that's probably user error. Is there a setting to turn them off? If so, where can I find it?
