"Check version" is a must in all software. Unfortunately Waze does not has one.
The Waze itself could periodically check if there was a new version and prompt the Wazer to download it.
Also language packs are often fixed during official releases, so maybe an option to just "Check languages" updates would be great.
Think about it.

If you have Android or iPhone, the system checks for new versions of apps automatically. Waze doesn't need to develop its own update check. Languages also update automatically too, I believe.
If you have any other version of phone (Windows, Symbian, BlackBerry), there will be no more new versions.

I know of no apps on iOS which do this because, as already written, it's built in to the OS/AppStore already.

If it looks strange, or I used bad grammar or misspelled anything, it's my phone's fault.
