Rate and/or review

Allow wazers to rate (1-5 star) or review points of interest found on waze (bars, restaurants, theme parks, hotels, etc.) I travel all week long and am always looking for input on places to eat, stay or go. With a rating system I could do it right within waze and not have to open trip advisor everytime.

I did not realize that waze's top priority was to tell me how terrible my drive is going to be going to and from work. If thats the only thing they're going to improve, you might has throw out the whole navigation process and just keep the report pins.
And by the time I get my area updated where the nav actually works I won't even need it anymore (police scanner app would be far more useful than the five other people with in a 70 mile radius that use it)

I added waze specifically for the gps nav. Road hazard, speed traps, and traffic jams was an added bonus that my google maps does not have.

That is where I'm split, my daily commute is anywhere between 50- 400 miles a day. I'm always on call and have little to no time to plan ahead and sometimes find myself in unfamiliar territory due to last minute changes in my route.

Being able to see places around me with a short rating (*'s) without having to leave navigation screen would be the bees knees

Waze already leverages Yelp as a search provider and you can see the rankings from that site.

Also, since Waze is focused on daily commutes and NOT traveling to unknown places, I would assume building such a feature into Waze itself will be VERY low on the priority list.

Most text on the homepage for Waze refers to a daily commute such as "What if you could find the quickest route to work and back, every day?" or "That way everybody's commute gets faster and safer."

That said, I personally use Waze to travel all over the south-east and back and forth to NYC multiple times a year. So we can use Waze how ever we wish, but the developers will still be focused on local commutes.
