Red Light Cameras

Postby tiggertiffin87 » Fri Aug 17, 2012 12:56 am

Is there any way to turn this off? The city I live in has them EVERYWHERE and it's so annoying to have it repeated every block. Plus the fact if I'm trying to drive somewhere I've never been, the popup always covers the directions.

Settings>Advanced>Show on Map, uncheck speed cams. (redlight cams will also be turned off)

Unfortunately that is just not working. I've had that unchecked for a month and I'm still getting the red light camera notifications. :(

Do a little searching. :) viewtopic.php?f=3&t=23728 is exactly the same as "cameras" are treated as a group.

And that thread wasn't helpful either. And I wouldn't have searched for speed cameras since waze has it as red light cameras so I would have never found that thread. I just want to turn that prompt off, but it looks like there's no way to do that.

That exactly why I pointed you at that thread as it answers your question and also shows that many people would like to, Waze knows this and will likely get it into the app at some point. Why complain that your question was actually answered?

Or you could have just said, what was said in that post, rather than telling me I should search the forum or go to another thread and having to read through pages of replies. I do actually search the forums and look at the first couple of pages before asking a question. Telling someone to go look is not helpful at all, since in most cases they already have.
