Missing kid alert

In Illinois we have amber alerts for missing kids.

What do they call it where you are?

My guess would be to link them somehow.

I never looked into it to see if each state might have an app that would push notifications to your phone.

And iOS has Amber Alert built-in. Potentially even easier.

AMBER Alert for the US in Waze is finally now a reality. Something for other countries is needed.

I'm going to bump this, because we just had an Amber Alert (missing child, likely in danger) go out here in CT... Usually a vehicle is associated with these alerts, including a description & license plate. It would be a great pop-up alert for Waze to have, something that would pop-up for all users when one is issued or when they login. I posted this one with a chit-chat, but not everyone sees/pays attention to those...

I have a personal Android phone & a work iPhone... AND I'm subscribed to the CT Alert system on both (text) and 2 different email accounts... Nothing went off last night except the TV alert & my work twitter blew up with details...
