I find the dots quite bright and distracting in the client, especially in night mode.
I'd like to see them less prominent.

Go chomp em, once they're gone they are no longer bright and distracting. Seriously they are there and highly noticeable for a reason, Waze wants drivers to go chomp em to verify the roads.

Sure, I get that. But we want to attract new users, right? Therefore the client needs to be pleasing to the eye.
Sure, I'm happy to confirm major routes, but I am not interested in going down hundreds of residential roads to clear the dots left at the ends.

Leaving something for the new users who live down those residential streets to chomp.

Easier said then done especially when the new roads are in gated communities.

Ramming Speed

Good point there. But I do believe even the occasional rich snob who resided in a gated community will use Waze. Oh and I know of a few delivery drivers who use it as well, both of which will eventually get those streets chomped.
