I was in touch with Wroadd (Hungarian Waze Champ) regarding "Near you now" feature they already have implemented for Budapest (Capital of Hungary).

We are very interrested in this feature too, so we discussed the topic within forum.

He advised to contact you directly and provide GPS coordinates of polygons for biggest cities in region.

Would it be possible to implement the feature for following locations?

As far as I remember, in the US it is based on metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) as defined by the Census Bureau.

Tak som prisiel k tomuto clanku http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_metropolitan_statistical_area a v nom hned na zaciatku je zaujimava mapka (pozor - 1 MB 10 mpix gif!) - podla nej "US Metropolitan statistical areas" maju obvykle vyse 50 000 obyvatelov (podla tabuliek "Population tables of U.S. cities" na Wiki vpravo hore je ich niekolko stovak).

Samozrejme Waze kludne mohlo zvolit inu systematiku, pripadne kludne mohlo zadefinovat len niekolko najludnatejsich oblasti.
