Inland Empire

Postby jrnavid » Thu May 31, 2012 6:04 am

Hello everyone. I see that there is no activity for the Inland Empire here so I will go ahead and begin.

I am an AM for most of the Inland Empire. Beginning from Ontario to Redlands, and the 210/ Cajon Pass to the 60 is the area I manage. I will request for my AM privileges to be expanded to Covina and south to Riverside and Chino very soon.

I see that no one has even taken care of the problems being posted by users and I hope to erase and resolve all the issues by the end of July.

Please be patient and update here if there is anything that needs a quicker response. I have just started to edit the map and fix many problems, and it will take some time.

Note: The construction on the 215 N/S at the 210 E/W in San Bernardino is causing some problems, since most of the 215 is being widened and new bridges are being built. I have taken this area as a very urgent matter and will try to get these streets ready for navigation as soon as the ramps and bridges are opened.

I hope we can all work together and make our community an easier place to Waze!

Thanks for taking on the Inland Empire!

Re the 215 in San Bernardino: I deleted the old ramps and added a few new ones based on some CalTrans maps and the GPS tracks around the construction zone. Please let me know if I locked anything based on old data. Also, I deleted references to SR-259 since (IIRC) it's unsigned and shows up as "to 210" and "to 215" at entrances, so please lmk if any of those need to be unlocked as well.

Do you think its ok to delete the 259 entirely? I know what you mean by changing it, and it does confuse many people since most don't know that this section of the freeway is actually 259

Oh, do you mean the "state 259 ofrp" at Highland Ave? Yeah, sorry, I forgot to name those exit ramps. Please change them to whatever's on the exit signs. Thanks for catching that. They're already unlocked.

Ok everyone. I think the most important section for the IE at this point is the 215 construction project, so I will try to keep an eye one it as much as possible.
