As a kid I remember tuning into ABC Wild World of Sports to watch this guy do amazing stunts on his Harley. No one today has the balls to do what he did back then!

I think he just about broke every bone in his body on this jump

WOW!.... I also heard he had a hollowed out walking cane for storing alcohol. Like to have that stick!

Think I heard that Jim Rome wanted that cane...don't know if he actually got it

From Rome is Burning? Didn't know he was such a Knievel fan .. :grin:

Stunts used to be entirely cooler. Just isn't the same these days. Some of the Red Bull stuff is pretty cool, though.

Agreed...and yes, that is the correct Jim Rome. He had Knievel on his radio show several years back. It was classic!
