Foursquare is turned off on waze until the next version

Since waze's current version does not support the new Foursquare API, we decided to remove it for the time being.
If you tried to check in to places in the last couple of weeks, you probably got an error saying 'no locations found near by'.

Until our next update, you will no longer see the option to connect to foursquare on your profile page, and won't see the option to check in from the 'report' menu.

We hope Foursquare will be back on waze soon!

Not likely. See the post in the Announcements forum about client versions from written a few months ago.

Thanks for letting us know what was up! Looking forward to the next version as it is always much easier to check in via WAZE than have to launch FOURSQUARE.

I wouldn't hold out hope for foursquare support on Symbian waze. It would require a re-write of that module and waze have stated that there will not be a new version for Symbian in the foreseeable future!

When 3.0 arrives. And no I have no idea when that'll be. They've said "soon" but with no context.

Removed the Announcement flag as this feature has been re-added to the major platforms.
