Normally a HTC Desire S - Stock ROM (Android 2.3.5), but temporarily back to my G1 (HTC Heart) - Froyo by Laszlo ROM - Waze 3.6

Updated now from last beta.
Crash when first launch !
Google rapport sent !
What is strange is that Waze was still running while report opened !

I had the same with the last beta.

With this version I had no problem.
Did you upgrade from the beta or the latest market version?

Hi,

I just update to 3.0.1.0 but I saw a new permission needed by waze to access private data...

Could you explain me why this permission is needed ?

Any navigation app that has the capability to route from you contacts list is going to have that permission.

I used to upgrade from the market.
The last Beta was not from market. I have installed myself from the forum.

One should nearly always completely remove the old version instead of upgrading, especially if previous was the beta. There are usually a host of issues associated with upgrading Waze. Not sure why, but it seems to affect both iOS and Android.

I updated from 3.0.0.0 from the market without any problems. I only had a 10km drive so far.
...And I also never ever remove Waze :ugeek:

btw: Navigating to a contact isn't self explaining any more. It was much clearer in the versions before 3.x
