Glympse like functionality?

Is there any live tracking URL you can give out to friends/family while using Waze? I'm torn between the two, I like to send my wife Glympse's when I'm heading home, but at the same time I want to use Waze

I could possibly keep both going, but that seems like an extremely battery hungry solution.

It's been requested, but at the moment they are working with stability of the base product, especially the map refreshes.

It probably is already on their, but you can make an official suggestion (or add a vote to one if already there) at the uservoice linked in my sig.

Although there is the capability to generate and send a text or email with your destination and ETA and/or Notify that you are late with Waze 3.1 for iOS. Will be coming to Android...

Most of the battery goes to keeping the screen on and the GPS and data connection. The app itself does not take that much battery. Running both apps at the same time will run it down only slightly faster.

Right, not blaming the app, just its associated requirements are battery hungry

Waze has added features like this. Check out the various options under Menu -> Share.
