Easy way to find group member on the map?

thanks for the confirmation, but it's a nice to have feature... since we are using Waze for navigation already.

A future version may enable you to allow more real-time display to certain Wazers, but not being a core navigation or commuting feature, it is prioritized lower than other features on the roadmap.

The suggestion was made in reference to group members. By joining a group you would be giving permission to be tracked. Its not like you'd be tracked just by signing up for Waze.

I agree that if implemented, there should be a checkbox for those who join groups but don't want to be easily tracked.

I support this feature as well. As long as the users agree to be tracked as part of a group it would be a great feature. Developers, please put this on the to-do list.

Privacy should be respected without requiring the user to check any checkboxes. In case it ever will be implemented there should be a checkbox "Allow to show my position to every weird stranger"

I have found that you can expedite map updates by zooming out, let the map refresh (3 to 5 seconds) then zoom back in again to the same spot will provide a faster update of the surrounding wazers. I find a lot of times wazers will just disappear off of the map. Doing this process expedites a map refresh. I'm assuming that this works because your just checking the database more often.
Doing this process you get an update in around 10 to 15 seconds instead of minutes.
It helps when all friends are descending on a single spot from different locations (and you have nothing better to do but just wait ...).
Obviously you wouldn't do this while driving.

No easy way to locate other Wazers. Wazer icons are updated apx. every 2 minutes but the location where they are showing could be apx. 4 minutes old.

Waze is not currently designed to track the exact location of people. There are other applications for that purpose.

They could always check the (future) "Don't allow me to be tracked" checkbox.

Is there an easy way to find a group member on the map? So far I've been manually looking on the map, and group member has a tiny icon attached. Is there any better way?

I have a group with my wife, and we are driving separately to the day care every day after work. And we want to check our locations.

Also, how often is the location of the wazer icons on the map updated?
