Simulated a network outage by turning off cellular data. TTS kept working! Must say that I travelled streets that I travelled with TTS before.

Event slideshow:
When I stop on my route, nearby event slideshow starts zooming nearby events, but it doesn't contain event description (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ote7dlvjuc9d8 ... 091301.png)

Text problems:

Crash on early actions:
App sometimes crashes when I slide the menu button (to navigate) too early - 1 second after the splash screen disappears.

TTS saves voice clips to the phone so it will continue to say them during network outage.

I am experiencing the same problem with the voice setting not saving. Looking at the preferences file it appears it may have something to do with the default voice not changing. Also the active voice is two voices separated by a vertical bar. Maybe Waze is picking the first one every time?

Changing the default to Daniel male has no effect as it is just overwritten by the app. Yes I've deleted the Waze folder and reinstalled. Is annoying as Daniel is the best voice.

Everything works well, except for the map. There is major road distortion, as noted on the 3.1.99.102 thread. Except for that all other features work great and network + GPS are stable.

Same here. This is the first time I've seen anything like this, but this is the first 3.1.99 version I've tried.

I wondered if adjusting the default might provide a workaround for the problem but I believe we should avoid tweaking the preferences file for the purposes of testing the beta!

Looks like we both tried it. Will reinstall after deleting folder.

when I put the volume to minimum Hopefully my voice in French as I want but when I put the voice on the "maximun" voice is in Italian, not French

Only works on the first run .... when I close and reopen, it keeps crashing.... but I ´m using a highly experimental 4.04 Android build.
