I can imagine the following userinterface: right on top of your speedometer-display on the Wazescreen a trafficsign could display the current set legal maximum speed. As soon as you drive faster, the sign flashes and an audible warning sounds. If you drive a street that has no speed set the trafficsign is greyed, dull. To set the speed in a street you merely SWIPE the trafficsign from right to left - the current speed is then recorded (maybe rounded to the next 5 km or miles?) as being the legal max. The next Wazer to drive it sees the display and hears the sound if he is too fast.
All this would NOT require an interface in WME. Would not have an option to report it as wrong (instead, you can just set it again while you drive). The display and the warning could be hidden per setupmenu.
Here are the caveats: the current speed displayed in the speedometer at the right is NOT the actual speed. (
see this thread). I can see this bug alone produce a lot of complaints - and again if it ever gets fixed and many of the recorded speeds turn out a bit too high.
Another one is that it may be too easy for some to collect points - we see speed-camvandals right now and we will see speed-vandals then.
