I just installed on my new galaxy nexus and waze didn't restore my favorites. Is there anyway to force it?

No... You could try to reinstall and keep your fingers crossed this time...

Normally a HTC Desire S - Stock ROM (Android 2.3.5), but temporarily back to my G1 (HTC Heart) - Froyo by Laszlo ROM - Waze 3.6

I run Waze on two devices. One at the time. To "sync" favorites I delete all traces of Waze on one device. That includes clear data, clear cache, force stop, uninstall, delete waze folder. Wait few hours and re install from .apk or Play Store.
Hardware:
HTC One JB 4.1.2
Galaxy Nexus GT-I9250 JB 4.2.2
Galaxy Tab 7.7 GT-P6800 JB 4.1.2

And there seems to be a known problem with that. It hits very rarely, but when it does, your favourites are gone.

If you still have your old phone: copy the history file from its Waze folder. Always keep your own backup of that file to keep things in your own hands.

I accidentally erased all my sdcard data which wiped all my apps' settings as well. Waze wouldn't resync my favorites.
Your tip fixed it for me. Thanks!:-)
I wish they have syncing options on the next update though...

The next steps worked for me:
1) If you're already logged in with Facebook please login with Waze (you need to sync Facebook with Waze).
2) Go to Menu >> Navigate and type in the search bar: ##@restorefav
Good luck!
