Awesome! I don't think I've ever seen that before.

no other app has this issue, and I have much experience with using many video and map apps. The only other symptom I can throw at you, is that the IPHONE is jailbroken. Because of that fact, am now thinking some other app is cause WAZE to get weird with its display map. I will start removing CYDIA installed apps, and see if it makes any difference.

Else let me know if you catch anything that I should look at. I ca send screen shots, and send in reports from any screens on the IPHONE 4

That's indeed odd. I failed to reproduce (on a jailbroken iPhone).
I believe your assumption that a specific app is causing it is correct. Can you figure out which one?

When I use Spotify in the background and Waze in foreground on my iphone4 I have the following complaints:

1) When turn by turn navigation is on and sound is on, Waze starts to fade out the music in the background to early, taking a few seconds to reach silence and then waiting some more before telling me to turn left or similar.

1. Does it happen to you when using other music apps?

2. Does anyone else have this problem?

2) When turn by turn navigation is on but Waze is muted, there is still a sudden mute in the music playback for ~0.5 seconds every time Waze is supposed to say something.

Maybe related to the fact that Brazil should be using a comma and not a decimal? The client is putting in the decimal automatically but then the client is choking because it wants a comma?

I think that's the point. I made a test and changed the Region Format to English/USA, and then the bug disappeared. I could type the 4 digit gas price normally!

Well, so that's the problem. And it's still a bug. I hope Waze team can fix it soon, because here in Brazil our Region Format uses the comma as decimal separator, and I believe 99.9% of Brazilian Waze users don't use USA Format in their iOS's.

No, can not figure it out yet, and I have removed a lot of apps that have no use for me. Have most of the same apps running on my jailbroken IPAD2, and no issues on that. Am trying to focus on only apps that change the display, that might reside in memory and cause a conflict in some way. All pure speculation so far.

Read something about a possible RETINA display issue. Will have to experiment with that as my IPAD2 has a RETINA fix for making IPHONE apps look like IPAD apps. That same fix is of course not on my IPHONE4. In a month I will hopefully just be able to upgrade to an IPHONE5 and solve all my issues (apple makes me believe that - though I joke that not likely to be a miracle)

Yes, the same thing happens if I listen to iTunes. I believe Waze is designed to fade out all the way, then load the voice and play it? It's probably not a bug, just an annoying feature?

Everyone should have it.

I never tried another music app before. Today I loaded a few mp3s in iTunes and played it and this problem with muted music playback does not appear to happen with iTunes. I haven't tested with any other music app.

okay now fixed

1) Changed physical location - maybe that unlocked the map? am now about one mile from where I was.
2) Uninstalled TVOUT2 app as it does control the video out functions of the IPHONE
3) Uninstalled POWERDOWN DISABLE app.
4) Updated several apps through the app store, as is my habit to do every day or so.

One of these seems to have fixed my copy of the WAZE app on my phone.

when is the automatic day/night mode going to be fixed? It seems to work ok for sunset but for sunrise it is broken!
