Gas prices maps beyond what's near me?

Use Gas button in main menu. It will give you list of Gas stations in neighborhood. Then press map button in top right corner. It will show map with pins with prices for preferred gas type, if it was already reported.

Sorry for not catching what exactly you mean by near...
You may plan a route and GS near route will appear. Or use mock locations to see GS elsewhere. Nothing more can be done now.

Here we got route between 2 cities with one stop on route. You can see many gas stations near route. You can move/zoom/check details. Maybe not as good as gasbuddy, but still useable.

Exactly. The radius is like 2 miles around current position. That should be enough in given scenario.
