I've tried to install it from Play. There is written version 3.6 and the date is correct. But when I install the program, it installs the old version 3.5.0.0

in my case correct version 3.6.0.0 is in Help/About menu.
installation went just fine. settings preserved.

Then something is weird. I've tried for 3 times to install. I always clean install Waze (uninstall, delete waze folder from SD, install, reboot, run). I will wait few hours perhaps it's something with Play.

Just like with beta on first run icons missing in Categories. Gas Stations & Prices missing in Settings menu. Not a best first impression if you are new user.

Just loaded the update.

I have not had the chance to check if Waze still crashes when my vehicle stops, but it still crashes every time I attempt to access the scoreboard.

Running Verizon Galaxy Nexus with Stock Android 4.1.1.

Any suggestions

I'm going to report these here even though I was still on 3.5.99.915 this morning as I doubt the issue is corrected in the 3.6 release and the issue has remained through several beta releases.

I continue see no rhyme nor reason to alert popups.
Today I received no alert to for this accident on my route:

If I tap on the accident icon, the popup confirms its on my route. However, because this is not an alert popup there is no way for me to indicate that the accident is no longer there (there was no sign of an accident on the road).

Further down the road the same thing happened again:

On the other hand, I continue to receive alert popups for speed cameras when my speed is not exceeding the limit:
