Do you have another suggestion in stead of the standard blue?

I've copied the night colour for routes. #00ccff works pretty well on the map editors schema.

A bit baby blue, but it works OK (no conflicts with other road types).

I actually discovered the colour by accident. I was routing in night mode, then manually switched to day mode, and the route colour didn't switch. It was clearly visible and didn't clash with any of the road colours in schema 8 and so I stuck with it.

Before day and night folders all the schema were in /default/

Maybe BB client still has that, in which case Tim needs to replace "schema8"

Are there multiple locations that I need to copy the file to?

Thanks

I haven't downloaded and looked in those schema, but I would hazard a guess at a missing variable. When a schema file is missing a variable, it defaults to the main schema file.

Make sure your edited file has both these lines in:
"Navigation.RouteColor: #xxxxxx"
"Navigation.PossibleRouteColor: #xxxxxx"

I thought I'd share my versions with you.

Changes I've made:
1) Road thickness lowered. I've set freeways and major highways to 3 and all other roads to 2.
2) Removed "cookie muncher" colour entirely. By setting Color2 to the same as Color1 on each road type, unmunched roads show up in their normal colours with cookie dots.

Versions with both the green and blue navigation lines:
Green line schema
Blue line schema

Let me propose another change: Change the colour of the planned route to 00ff00 (bright green). The current colour is to close to the freeway colour.

(I always manually change the schema file this way, the planned route is the last line in the file).

From memory, so it may be wrong: sdcard\waze\skins\day\8\schema

I mailed this proposal to Alpha. In their reply, they asked me to propose this in the forum, and if everybody agrees, send them the modified file so it can be included in the official package.

I made a new 'schema' file. It has two changes from the official Map Editors Theme:

- dirt roads are brownish, see screenshot below
- navigation line is bright green

The modified file can be downloaded at:

http://www.filefactory.com/file/ccd02c1/n/schema

Download it, and save it to the /sdcard/waze/skins/default/day/8 map on your device.

Let me know what you think of this adjusted scheme.
