What's new
New guided tour under the help menu
4-square chek-in is back (in the reports menu)
Nearing destination bar - Parked pin is toggle (you can un-park)
Main menu buttons reordered
Option to send a PM to offline users from the destination screen (you get to this screen from the nearing dest bar)
PM is also sent as an inbox message (relevant for IL users only)

What's fixed
Screen is dimmed after reporting map issue
Transmitting mode activates again after canceling it
Can't update gas prices when phone's format is set to Portuguese-Brazil
Map stays on night mode after switching to night and then back to auto
Other UI & stability bugs

Known issues
When pickup route includes stop-point - canceling stop-point cancels pickup
Invisible mode - you will see your user details in reports you send
Mute button in main menu is not synced with mute button in nearing destination bar

The my waze icon still doesn't match VIP moods...

This is the fourth beta update I've been trying to install and it always fails on me. I've sent it my udid 3 times to be updated and still no luck. Could anyone help. What should I do next to get this beta version to work

I'm still unable to connect to foursquare and twitter, even with a clean install.

Is your iPhone jail broken? Doesn't sound like it.

No it's the new iPhone 5 but that's this version. my previous phone was jailbroken and had no luck. Y would it make a difference jailbroken or not??

Apple developers are limited to the number of devices they can officially put on a beta. Basically 100 in total for development and beta. The only devices that can run a beta are ones that the developer has entered into Apple's dev portal, so unless Waze has entered this phone's UDID, it won't run...

... Unless the iPhone is Jailbroken, in which case, it can run pretty much any app.

Here we go with my first round of issues:

1. Petrol pricing:
We can now enter a price ending in .9 (at last!).

However, the new price shows in search and on the map fine. The problem is that in the station info pane it STILL shows as .8. Also I don't get credit, it just says "a Facebook user".

Note also the formatting error previously reported in the stations location tab is still there (look at the phone number):

Unrelated to this beta, however, it seems over the last week progressively all the prices entered into Waze have been lost. Search from my home the only station that now has a price is this one that I updated this afternoon. Any idea why this is happening?

2. New moods need additional entries in the language file:

I added this to the lang.eng_uk file to fix this on my client:

A quick recap on faults I've reported that are still present:
1. Unable to log into twitter.
2. Unable to log onto foursquare.
3. When reporting a map issue and adding text, the text entry box is partly hidden under the keyboard.
4. I still don't like the new night scheme, make the background black!
5. Formatting errors in Petrol station pages persist.
6. Roundabout turn number centring is still off.
7. Layout for landscape users ... we need more map!
8. Please ove the the "searching" box so I can see the map when it's taking far too long to do something?
9. My Waze mood does not match my mood (silver Wazer this week).

Deleting and Reinstalling did not fix 1 and 2.

Still to test:
1. The changing route captions auto-dismiss timer is misplace
2. The traffic report pop-up is a big box, yet it only has room for 34 characters ... can we allocate a bit more space in the road report box for the actual road report?
3. Speed Camera Caption blocking the map.
4. Pick up function

Looks like they just stretched the map to fill the screen. It doesn't seem like they're showing more on the map.

The iPad app icon is the old Waze logo, not the new one the iPhone has.

Lots of trouble downloading it, and once I successfully installed, it crashed during facebook connect.

We need the old night view back, at least as an option.

iPad splash screen is still messed up in landscape mode.

Menu on iPad is 4.5 wide by 2 tall when there are 9 items (even in portrait). iPhone menu is 3x3 in portrait, 4.5x2 in landscape (limited by screen size). Why the difference on the iPad? 3x3 looks a lot better regardless of screen orientation.

More after a road test this afternoon.

Edit: nothing unusual on the road test. Since it's still obvious that developers aren't interested in making it look right for the iPad, should I stop testing it on that device and just stick to my phone?
