On ROW server you are supposed to see "country" and "all countries".
Can anyone (that not from US) confirm they still see "States/All states"?

That's a fairly simplistic approach based on the neat way we've interpreted the road-types though. That will not be the norm.

I'd guess the majority of users would also have no idea what a trunk road is or the consequence of avoiding it ("Stupid Waze, I've avoided Trunk roads and now the app won't navigate from Land's End to John O'Groats!")

I have no doubt about how problematic that feature will be in Brazil with users deciding which way should be avoided. We even don't have a translation for freeway, major and minor highway. The idea of the feature is good but it hasn't a simple application.

So what are you suggesting instead?

- Same crashes as with the last 3-4 beta's. Is there anything being done about these? I've not seen a single reaction to this.
- Can't connect to foursquare.
- Map cache corruption still exists.

Cosmetic changes in this beta look nice (a little inconsistent is the main menu pictured above, some icons are colored, others are b/w).
The new scoreboard is very responsive, looking very good. Some minor layout issues with longish user names though.

But pretty please do something about the crashes, having to restart Waze at least every 15 minutes is frustrating. Lots of log files sent.

Is there a specific scenario that causes the crash? Can you tell when exactly it crashes?

- Mostly random crashes while driving.
- Also crashes comparable to this description:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=23638&start=98
- And sometimes crashes after loosing network connection (but those have been there since 3.0.1), I kind of got used to these :evil:

- After a crash, Waze crashes immediately after trying to reopen it (sometimes it takes 10 tries to get it to launch again).

So not really anything specific, more a quite general problem.

Did you try to remove the app and reinstall to fix it?
Also, is your free disk space is low?

Yes, I did try that. I went as far as getting a totally fresh iPhone (a 3GS), same problem persist.

17.6gb available on my main phone (10.8gb used).
On the 3GS there's 28.4gb available (290mb used - only Waze on that phone).

I started examining debug logs myself, and it seems it has something to do with Waze calls to/from the 'ExternalAccesory' framework.

We will change that in a future version. We'll probably let the users decide which road they want to avoid.

"Users" have no clue about the wicked implementation behind the scenes of what's Freeway and what's Major. I feel another 'prefer goodie munching'-thing starting all over once again.

Sending logs are taking almost 2 seconds with this beta under the same Internet connection. Is it normal?

You must not be running in debug mode, which is recommended for beta testers. My logs can take several minutes to upload.

On all others beta version it was taking some minutes. But not this beta version.

Jason, I use to send logs every night.
