I have no doubt about how problematic that feature will be in Brazil with users deciding which way should be avoided. We even don't have a translation for freeway, major and minor highway. The idea of the feature is good but it hasn't a simple application.

Taking advantage of this issue, we (waze champs of Brazil) made the translation of waze 3.5 for Portuguese_Br and it seems to been disposed. I'm not sure how you planning to use our translation but at the moment we are using portuguese_PT on this beta.

Brazilian use to left behind any app in portuguese_PT. It's a kind of rejection.

The shutdown then power off failure is fixed.

The my waze icon now shows my Bronze mood.

The new navigate icon is neat

I'll be updating the translations tonight if I remember. I was meant to do it last week, so it's my fault the UK one isn't updated. Sorry guys.

Have you iOS people had the closure button removed too? Waze, can you give some insight as to why? I was REALLY looking forward to seeing this in 3.5, and it would be a real game changer!

My guess is that it WAS a closure, which if on the suggested route you come across one, as you say, the next turn would be cancelled and thrown onto the map like a traffic report with the Not There button, or just drive through it to clear it.
Shame they got rid :-(

No, we DO give users the option and use the translation strings for description. Simple!
UK example:
Freeway : "Avoid Motorways"
Major : "Avoid trunk roads"
Simple.

That's probably true, although we seem to have taken the approach in the UK and applied it very generally with pretty strict guidelines, which works very very well imo.
