I really like the new nav line, but there are a couple things I think could be done better.

Ramps should have nav-line pop-ups.

Ramps are arguably the most complicated thing we're asked to negotiate when we drive. Waze doesn't give us anything to show where ramp segments begin, either from the road or from another ramp (I still don't understand why we don't have turn arrow overlays on the map), so the least we could do is include a pop-up for each segment. Possibly to keep them short, initial exit segments could be parsed so that the pop-up only shows "Exit" and the exit number (i.e., the part before the colon).



In this case, it'd be real nice to see a popup that says at least "Exit 236B" on the upcoming ramp.

The upcoming turn should be given precedence.

The greatest benefit of the new nav-line (in the absence of turn arrow overlays) is that it points out where exactly the next road is. That road should, therefore, be given priority over the others.



In this case, there should really be a pop-up at S Miro. The indication that I'm on Calhoun is nice, but it should be secondary to upcoming navigational info.

Hey, I like this!

I like that the client now has a mechanism by which it can tell us when the road we're already on changes name without including a superfluous "keep straight" instruction. Nice touch.

Do the highway shields appear correctly in the app for those segments?

No they do not.

I think that may be key. When a highway has a working shield for us or state, the purple on route street name uses that. You like it, not sure I do. I'd rather see it with US-50 and OR219 more than just a number.

This must be the case for interstates too, then...

Bug: the "Wazers nearby" popup found itself in the wrong place the other day.



I don't know why it was here, but it persisted for the entire drive. Tapping on it did nothing.

I am sending logs now. This occurred on Feb 4 around 14:33.

In this example in particular, the Wazer would benefit more from the nav line if it pointed out the small U turn segment. This instance illustrates the need for this prioritization a little more strongly, I think.

(In this image, the "ramp" name is shown, because the "ramp" is set to Freeway type for navigation and display purposes.)

Even if the client didn't parse out the exit number, instead simply displaying the exit text, I think it's better this way.

I would vote against this.

I actually very much like the way the wayfinder looks when it's presented in the purple pop-up nav-line boxes.

The upcoming road is, I would say, the one most important thing at any given moment when using turn-by-turn navigation. It should be clear where that road is. The box is designed to point out the location of the next road. It is also designed such that it does not obscure that road.

That said, this wouldn't really be much of an issue if we had arrow overlays on each turn, like every other GPS device I've ever used...

Two things more I've noticed.

1. When the program asks if I want to go home/to work and I click Yes the second dialog appears (with route info etc.) with 20 seconds timeout. I think it should be lower than that or even not appearing at all. To much clicking after I already answered "yes".

Fully agree with this one, like the new popup of are you driving to here, but then having another pop up just seems pointless. maybe an option to have this option appear or not

Still getting this "-1 Wazers" online some times.

Maybe only happen in less crowded zones, this was taken in Lisbon (Portugal)

Just two short drives, no issues so far. The new route with 3D-street names is great, and he new dialog for suggested destinations is much better.

I will report when I find an issue. So far it's the bet version I have ever had

When I enter the Share-dialog and use the button "back", I will get the mesage that my route is now trackable, although I did not post a link to anybody.

Iphone 5, 6.1, no jailbreak.

When I select german directions with TTS, the volume is much too low, especially on freeways. The short directions without streetnames are just fine. When I switch to english, the TTS-directions are much louder.

This is an old one, but I like to repeat it from time to time as it is unfixed since the introduction of german ttc voiceguidance.
